On this page you will find links to pages explaining what the PARTNERS Service is and how it is different to current care for people with ongoing mental health needs.

What is the PARTNERS Service?

The PARTNERS Service is different to standard mental health care in many ways. It has been developed with service users to meet the needs most important to them.

Who are the Care Partners?

The Care Partners are specially trained mental health professionals, from a variety of backgrounds. They can be social workers, nurses, occupational therapists or support workers and will receive supervision to support them in their work.

Who has helped create the PARTNERS Service?

Lots of people have helped create the PARTNERS Service, and not just researchers and mental health professionals. We have had people with experience of ongoing mental health needs help us every step of the way.

What do friends and family think about the PARTNERS Service?

We hope the PARTNERS Service will have a positive impact on friends, families and carers of people with ongoing mental health needs. We also spoke to a carer who is a member of one of our Lived Experience Advisory Panels, to ask her thoughts on our research.
